The Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University was established on November 29, 1965. At the beginning of its establishment, it had only one study program, namely the Corporate Economics Study Program. During the leadership of  Drs. Hariry Hadi  as the first Dean (1965-1968) began to make improvements, both in the field of organization, teaching staff, administrative staff and especially in the field of facilities and infrastructure. The Corporate Economics Study Program was upgraded to  “Recognized” through the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 51/1966 dated July 14, 1966. Since its establishment, the Faculty of Economics has grown to become the Faculty of Economics and Business under the auspices of Trisakti University.

In 2008 the Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Hj. Farida Jasfar, ME, PhD.,   opened a diploma 3 study program, one of the study programs is a Diploma 3 study program in Service Management. The D III Service Management (MICE) Study Program is a vocational program that accommodates industrial demands for graduates who are ready to use/applied, especially with competence and ability in the technical field of MICE intermediate experts or the event industry .The D III Service Management Study Program (MICE) is “registered” based on the decree Number: 888/D/T/2009, dated June 11, 2009 as a Study Program under the Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University. The DIII Service Management (MICE) Study Program was established with the aim of filling the labor market needs for middle experts who have expertise and skills in the MICE field. This is in line with many government and private sector activities related to Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition activities.

In 2012, the D III Service Management Study Program (MICE), received an extension permit with the number 12266/D/T/K-III/2012 dated June 8, 2012. In July 2013, the D III Service Management Study Program (MICE) ) has carried out Accreditation, and obtained a “C” rating from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT), Ministry of National Education, Republic of Indonesia based on the Accreditation Certificate number: 163/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-XIII/Dpl-III/ VIII / 2013, dated August 3, 2013, which is valid for 5 (five) years from the date of stipulation. Then in May 2016, the Service Management D III Study Program (MICE) has applied for reaccreditation to BAN PT, and received an accreditation score of “B” based on BAN PT SK No. 1149/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/Dipl-III/VIII/2016. In 2021 the Service Management Diploma III Study Program (MICE) has reaccredited to BAN PT and received an “B” accreditation value based on BAN PT Decree No. 9599/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/Dipl-III/VII/2021. Currently, the curriculum applied to the Service Management Diploma III Study Program is in line with the curriculum applied by the Indonesian MICE Study Program Forum. The MICE industry is under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
